I'd love to share original music and videos, but I can't create things each day. So, I'll reblog MUSIC, ANIMALS, and COMICS to entertain people between my posts of original music. Peace and Love

The Fourth Dimension
http://bandcamp.musicalmathematics.co.uk/album/the-fourth-dimension

It took a little over a day to listen to everything during my commutes, and another day to review and digest it.
I found out about this compilation from the twitter feed of This Town Needs Guns.
I downloaded it in hopes of finding more math rock bands to follow/listen to.
I need to say…. there are a lot of songs on here.37 songs from 37 different bands.
I already expected this, but I really enjoyed the last 3 tracks–I had already heard of these bands before: Tera Melos, Hella, This Town Needs Guns.
Thanks to the songs selected from each band, I’m looking forward to hearing more from:
Invalids
Girlfriends
Adebisi Shank
Brontide
Wintermute
Vasudeva
Walking Aida
The Tupolev Ghost
This compilation served as a really big grab bag of 37 different flavors of progressive, alternative rock bands. Luckily, I was able to use it to find more bands I want to follow. There’s no theme to the compilation. I’m not sure what process went into the order of the songs, but there were a few songs that just didn’t feel right with the rest of the album. I’m very likely going to get the other compilations from Musical Mathematics just to expand my music perspective even more. I recommend this compilation if math rock and post-rock interest you. It’s free, so just delete it if you don’t like it.
The compilation also works as a nice playlist for progressive-sounding songs. = ]
